Supanova 2010

Six books.

I sold six books. Argh! Well, so much for the nineteen-streak.

Mind you, instead of doing lots of hard selling, I was busy scribbling away at my storyboard homework behind my screen of Zeera book stands. I'm looking forward to next year's Supanova when I won't have to worry about coursework!

Anyway... TABLE SHOT!

Next to our tables, you can see 'One Art Studio'. This is an art school run by an amazing artist called Jay Lee.
He and another guy called Peter spent both days busily drawing caricatures of people's faces onto the bodies of super heroes and Manga characters. They seriously didn't stop drawing until everyone was kicked out at 6pm. (Funny thing was, on Sunday morning before the convention was open, Jay got bored and started drawing in his sketch book.)

The best part of this year's Supanova for me was the flood of Joss Whedon actors. We got Eliza Dushku (Buffy/Dollhouse), Summer Glau (Firefly/Dollhouse), Charisma Carpenter (Buffy) and Dichen Lachman (Dollhouse). Four doses of totally awesome.

Needless to say, I spent a lot of time ogling some of my favourite actors instead of selling books.

Okay, so on to funny photos!

I think we should all go to the planet of the brain slugs and walk around without hats.

Behold! It's... Dr McNinja! A dalek! And... some dude!
With a backpack!
Rimmer! With a holo-virus! If you've never heard of Red Dwarf, then SHAME ON YOU.

An awesome Spike. Look! It's Lorne! Sing for him. And make him a cosmopolitan with real cranberry juice.
...These guys! Villain! Heroes! Boo yah! A year ago, I'd never heard of Looking for Group. So, lucky then that I spotted Cale and Richard!
(Go check out LFG.)

Squishy stormtrooper.
Yes, those are paper plates taped to his body.

Amazing amazing furry costumes this year. Meet Ms Elk. Lioness huntress!
Meet Fantastic Mr Fox! Mr Fox likes Paterpillars! We tried to feed him. It didn't work out very well.

CHANGE PLACES!

Mean, mean WOLVERINE! Hell Boy. Hell yeah!
The card says, "Twilight sucks.
Hi 5 if you agree."
The tally runs over to the back... She's recording my opinion.
I had to scream down Artists Alley to get her attention. Desperate measures, and all that...
